"Ultimately what makes ‘Bob’s Burgers’ so special is its conviction that most people are good, most problems are minor, and other folks’ weirdness can be taken in stride. Gene’s mild gender play, for instance, is a source of comedy but never mocked, just as Tina’s burgeoning sexuality is funny, but never pathologized or minimized."
And they call Linda, ”the most lovable mom on TV.” Thanks, Salon!

Read part one of this interview with the creator of Bob’s Burgers to hear his thoughts on Louise’s bunny ears, why he doesn’t mind if Bob has the same voice as Archer, and which writers had unnatural feelings for Miss Piggy.

He’s gonna make you a burger you can’t refuse.
The Onion’s A.V. Club recently asked Bob’s creator Loren Bouchard about Standards and Practices—specifically, why we could show vomit in one episode but had to avoid poop in another. Here’s what he said:
I think Standards And Practices takes a case-by-case approach. They don’t want to present a list of fluids that are okay and a list of fluids that are not okay. They’re looking at it as, “Is it offensive? Is it gross? Is it funny? Does it present it in a way where it doesn’t work without it?” They’re interested in the specifics.
